Limerick Institute of Technology engaged LEAP to provide professional development for its student services team. Over 30 employees, based in two different locations, Limerick and Tipperary, were involved in the programme. We were conscious that the programme needed to provide an opportunity for people who work closely together but who rarely see each other face-to-face to interact and develop stronger working relationships. Additionally, the programme needed to address core skills for effective collaboration and co-operation. Therefore, it was important that the programme be thought-provoking, engaging, practical and inclusive.
Following detailed conversations with the programme facilitator, Tricia Cunningham, a customised programme was developed by LEAP. This programme included individual working sessions with participants and large group workshops. The feedback from the team was extremely positive and there is strong evidence and examples of people applying learning and working more effectively together.
We look forward to working with LEAP again in the future.
